New Orleans Flare Candle Company is now hiring for our new retail  location at North Shore Square Mall in Slidell, LA!

 We’re looking for individuals who have a professional attitude who want to be part of our unprecedented growth! We are looking for sales associates and selling supervisor(s) to join our team. Both positions have the following requirements:

• Previous retail experience helpful (but not necessary)
• Desire to make customers happy!
• Outgoing/friendly and professional demeanor (this is a MUST)
• Mature, responsible and honest (candidates subject to background check)
• Ability to work evenings & weekends
• Ability to use a windows based computer and other electronic equipment.
• Ability to accurately count currency
• Reliable transportation

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for selling a wide range of our product(s) to customers, meet and greet customers as they enter the store and knowledgably answer any questions they may have about our products.. Maintain cashier responsibilities and a balanced cash drawer, including but not limited to: accepting cash and credit card payments and making change for customers, as well as balancing your drawer and making daily cash drops. It is a condition of employment that you are flexible with regard to hours and days worked and we may need to increase your hours or to decrease your hours based on the needs of our business.

EXPERIENCE and/or EDUCATION:
Minimum of one year of retail selling and / or customer service experience
High School Diploma, or equivalent

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies and procedures, and operating instructions.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding and to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to handle, or feel, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is also required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds:
