We are now taking orders for our "Save The Gulf Coast" candle. Due to their dynamic nature, these candles will be made and shipped in batches to ensure you recieve the highest quality product.
This candle is also available in our retail outlets in the Lakeside Mall in Metairie, LA and the Mall of Louisiana in Baton Rouge, LA(this candle does not qualify for the 50% off sale)
Our hand poured "Save The Gulf Coast" candle has a simulated "oil slick" on the top that may continue to grow and change just as the tragedy in the gulf develops and engulfs more of our precious waters and marine life.
This candle is made from 100% renewable, sustainably farmed,eco-friendly palm wax and a cotton wick. The glassware is reusable, recyclable and dishwasher safe.
Also, shipping cartons are all 100% recycled material. All of the candles are wrapped in vegetable based bio-degradable cellophane bags for shipping. This bag and all card board packaging can be placed in a compost, recycle bin, or trash and will not harm the environment.
100% of the net profits from the sale of this candle will go to help the people, animals and environment recover from the catastrophic oil spill that will continue for the foreseeable future to wreak havoc on the Gulf Coast. The funds will be distributed amongst charities we feel best represent our company's environmental conscience in caring for the Gulf Coast and its inhabitants.
We are also interested in finding a charity involved with saving the endangered brown pelicans and any other groups suffering from the oil spill. If you have a suggestion for a charity helping the Gulf Coast please email us at info@savethegulfonline.com.
-100 million gallons of oil have leaked into the Gulf of Mexico since the Deepwater Horizon rig exploded
-504 oiled birds have been rescued and brought to centers to be cleaned and rehabilitated. This is only a small portion of the
ef fected birds and many die before they are caught. Over 679 dead oiled birds have been found.
-39 oiled mammals (including dolphins) have been found. Only 2 were alive.
-351 sea turtles have been found. Only 55 have been found alive to be brought to rescue centers.
